What are Instructional Assistant Services?

Instructional Assistants (IAs) — also known as paraeducators or aides — provide direct support to students with disabilities in educational settings. Under the supervision of credentialed teachers and related service providers, IAs implement IEP goals, provide behavioral support, assist with personal care, and help students access the general education curriculum. STS provides qualified, trained instructional assistants to school districts and charter schools across Southern California. Our IAs are carefully selected, trained in special education practices, and matched to students based on their specific needs and support requirements. We provide IAs for individual student support, small group instruction, and classroom-wide support.

Our IAs work under the supervision of credentialed teachers with ongoing support and training from STS.
