What are ERMHS?
Educationally Related Mental Health Services (ERMHS) are mental health services provided to students with disabilities when those services are necessary for the student to benefit from their special education program. ERMHS are written into a student's IEP and are funded through a combination of special education and mental health funding. STS provides qualified ERMHS counselors and therapists to school districts and charter schools across Southern California. Our ERMHS providers deliver individual and group counseling, social skills training, behavioral support, and crisis intervention services — all aligned with students' IEP goals and delivered within the school setting. We work collaboratively with school teams, district administrators, and outside mental health providers to ensure students receive comprehensive, coordinated mental health support aligned with IEP goals.
Every student deserves to feel safe, supported, and ready to learn.
