As a parent, you've probably spent countless hours researching, advocating, and wondering if your child is getting the support they truly need. Maybe you're just starting to explore therapy options. Maybe you've been on a waitlist for months. Maybe you're not sure what kind of help your child needs — or whether what they're receiving is really working. At STS, we get it. Our clinicians are not just experts in their fields — they're parents, advocates, and deeply human people who genuinely care about the children they work with. We'll take the time to understand your child as a whole person, explain everything clearly, and work with you every step of the way.

Every child deserves the support they need. We're here to make that happen.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if my child needs therapy?
If you have concerns about your child's development — whether it's speech, movement, behavior, or emotional regulation — it's always worth having an evaluation. Our therapists can help assess your child's needs and recommend the right level of support.
How long does therapy take?
Every child is different. Some children reach their goals in a few months, while others benefit from longer-term support. We'll discuss realistic timelines with you during the intake process and keep you updated on progress throughout.
Do you accept my insurance?
We accept United PPO, Anthem PPO, Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO, UCSD, Tricare Prime & Select, Easter Seals, Regional Center, and private pay. Contact us to verify your specific benefits.
Can my child receive teletherapy?
Yes! All of our services are available via teletherapy as well as in-person. Many families find teletherapy convenient and effective — especially for busy schedules.
What ages do you serve?
We serve children from early intervention age through adolescence. Contact us to discuss your child's specific age and needs.
What should I bring to the first appointment?
Bring any previous evaluations or reports, insurance cards, and completed intake forms. Most importantly, bring your child — and don't worry, we make first appointments fun and low-pressure!
